Research Opportunities
Emerging jobs and studentships will be advertised on our web pages as they arise. However, MEEB also host a large range of independently funded visiting students, post doctoral fellows and principal investigators. Some organizations that currently offer fellowship and training opportunities are listed below:
If you are interested in pursuing a Marie Curie COFUND Fellowship, please make contact with one of the group members well in advance of the official deadlines, since internal selection procedures will be in place to ensure appropriate candidates go through to the final stages.
Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) Fellow
Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) Fellowships
The Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowships
The Fisheries Society of the British Isles (FSBI)
We are keen to host postgraduate and postdoctoral researchers under the Brazilian - Science Without Borders scheme
We have also hosted a number of Portuguese postgraduate students funded by the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT).
If you want to interact with group members on existing projects, or in developing novel research directions, supported by these and similar schemes, please contact us in the first instance. From there, we can work together towards securing successful applications.
For existing group members, please also remember that Bangor University subscribes to Research Professional, a really useful research funding search engine. For further assistance, please contact Michelle Jones, who will be able to provide further guidance on using the system and setting up research alerts.
