Summer of Viva Celebrations!

A big congratulation to our MEEB members who successfully passed their Viva’s over the last few months, it has been a time for celebration, cheer, and fabulous cakes for the whole MEEB group!

Dr Amy Gresham 

Amy is now working as a Postdoctoral Research Associate on the UK Treescapes iDeer project with the University of Reading.

Dr Owain Barton

Owain is undertaking a postdoctoral research project using novel passive acoustic devices to monitor avian diversity and explore possible linkages with deer activity. Owain is also working as an independent consultant, primarily with the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust.

Dr David Fidler

David is now working on the SYNBIOGAS project in Bangor! Doing microbial genomics and metagenomics searching for newly characterised enzymes.

Dr Bethany Pettifor

Beth is now working as a postdoctoral researcher in the J McDonald lab at the university of Birmingham, as part of numerous projects from tree health to microbial plastic degradation.

Dr Kirthana Pillay

Kitty is now working at Bournemouth University doing an environmental DNA (eDNA) Postdoctoral position.
